How can I get involved?

There are many ways to get involved in the PTO. One of the best is to join a PTO committee. Each committee is parent-run and leads a series of activities throughout the year. PTO committees include:

Arts Committee
The Arts Committee sponsors many arts enrichment projects throughout the school year. These include workshops, performances, and field trips highlighting all areas of the arts (music, dance, drama, poetry, storytelling, etc.).

Diversity Committee
The Diversity Committee celebrates the many cultures and perspectives that make up the Lincoln School community. The committee sponsors a variety of community-building activities throughout the school year.

Library Committee
The Library Committee works with the librarian and teachers to enhance the school literacy program and incorporate visiting authors and illustrators into the school curriculum.

Landscape Committee
The Landscape Committee creates projects for learning in the natural environment and works with teachers, students, and school and town staff to improve the school grounds.

Pumpkinfest and Silent Auction
The Pumpkinfest and Silent Auction occur each fall and are the primary PTO fundraising events.

Contact the committee co-chairs if you'd like more information about a particular committee or are interested in becoming a member. You can e-mail them by selecting ""PTO/Committee Chairs" under the "Executives" heading on your left.
