What is the mission of the PTO?

The Lincoln School Parent-Teacher Organization, or PTO, is dedicated to supporting Lincoln teachers and students, and to building a community enlivened by love of learning, enriched by a diversity of backgrounds and perspectives, and guided by common trust.

How does the PTO help the school?

Activities sponsored by the PTO committees directly benefit Lincoln students and teachers. Much of the money raised by the PTO is used to support academic enrichment activities in many different areas including math, literacy, and science. In addition, PTO support allows Lincoln students to enjoy extracurricular enrichment opportunities like the Model UN, Wordmasters, and the geography bee.

How does the PTO raise money?

The PTO sponsors a number of fundraisers each year including the Pumpkinfest and Silent Auction, the magazine drive, gift wrap drive, and winter candy house sale. In addition, parents are invited to pay annual dues ($15 per family). Finally, the PTO conducts an annual appeal each spring inviting Lincoln parents and friends of the Lincoln community to make a contribution to the PTO.

How can I join?

Every parent is automatically a member of the PTO. To learn more about volunteer opportunities available through the PTO, contact one of the PTO Co-Chairs, Lisel Macenka or Lisa Brown . You can e-mail them by selecting "PTO/Committee Chairs" under the "Executives" heading on your left or simply clicking on the email icon next to their names.
